Jewelry Artist and Colored Stone proudly present the fourth annual
Gemmys winners. Entries were judged for overall design, visual appeal and impact,
originality, and execution in five categories: faceted gems, cabochon gems, specially
cut gems, gem objects, and artists on the horizon. Our esteemed judges were gem
dealer Judith Whitehead, gem carver Charles Ellias, and gem and jewelry photographer
Sky Hall. Congratulations to the winners on their outstanding work, thank you
to all who entered our competition, and thank you to our judges for their dedication.
We're currently revising the Gemmy Awards for 2009 - entry forms will be available
at www.jewelryartistmagazine.com/contest
in Spring 2008.
Compiled by Kristen L. Gibson, Assistant Editor.
